Yes, you can make calls with an Apple Watch. If your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, you can make and receive calls on your Apple Watch even if your iPhone is not nearby. You can use the Phone app on your Apple Watch to make a call, or you can use Siri to initiate a call by saying “Hey Siri, call [contact name].”

To make a call on your Apple Watch, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch to go to the Home screen.
  2. Tap on the Phone app.
  3. Use the Digital Crown or your finger to scroll through your contacts or use Siri to call a specific contact.
  4. Tap on the contact you want to call.
  5. Tap on the phone icon to make the call.

Note that you need to have a cellular-enabled Apple Watch (Series 3 or later) and an active cellular plan with a supported carrier to make calls without your iPhone nearby. If your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, you can still make calls even if you don’t have a cellular plan.
